I have been an executive recruiter since 1986. I have learned throughout the years that the challenges of an executive recruiter are the same: place more people and make more money. Most other recruiters found more people to throw at more jobs. They played the traditional numbers game. The method I chose to increase placements was different from that of the other recruiters.
Our people invested a lot of time learning about our clients by working closely with hiring managers and human resource departments to identify their challenges. Many thousands of hours of research and conversations have led us to understand that most interviewers have little or no training in the interview process, they do not hire the best candidates - they hire the ones that interview best.
